Pilates coach David Newport has developed an approach to coaching you that comes from a background in personal training, ergonomics, nlp and relaxation.
He has been through and resolved his own challenges with accident injuries affecting six spinal joints and two neck joints, a concussion and facial trauma. Whether through his own trauma or more formal routes he continues to learn so as to help you better.
Some of those with whom he has worked include:
- 3 GB under-23 rowers, all of whom moved into the senior squad.
- Dancers, including those attending through Expression School of Ballet and Theatre Arts.
- People with: back aches and disc injury, stroke rehab, hip and knee replacement, osteoporosis, scoliosis, rsi, Charcot Marie Tooth and MS.
And, of course, everyone else with a desire to improve their posture and reduce discomfort or limitation. In Oxford that includes a number of medics, therapists and psychologists, who along with everyone else keep him on his toes!
David’s writing includes five books among which are: ‘Foundations of Relaxation’ and ‘7 Swift Steps to Improve Your Posture’, and articles published in ReSource magazine, The Systems Thinker and the Journal for the Association of Heritage Interpretation.
