Bodymaster Method treatment successes.

" Just a quick message to say how very much I've appreciated Nick's skillful help and support over the last three weeks. I've had a number of body treatments in the past, so am somewhat familiar with the terrain. Nick's care and skill have been outstanding, combining very effective hands-on work with clear and insightful guidance and advice and an unusually caring and warmly attentive attitude. The combination of these qualities has been very helpful and therapeutic in ways that have greatly assisted my recovery from a cycle accident. Thank you very much indeed for the excellent service that you offer through your clinic. It has certainly been very beneficial to work with Nick and I'll have no hesitation in recommending him and your clinic to colleagues, OU students with whom I work, and to friends. With warm best wishes, Chris. " I am a keen runner and enjoy all round fitness so disaster struck for me when I developed tendonitis in my achilles about eight weeks ago. I tried self-massage etc but couldn't even run a few metres. I consulted Nick (who I didn't know nor hadn't met before) and immediately found his treatment and rehabilitation advice 'spot-on'. The advice included the type of shoe and heel support I should consider and even details of the website where I could purchase the shoes at a very competitive price. This all appears to be working for me as after treatment and advice I am now able to run 4 miles pain free and am building the distance/pace gradually. Another positive is that Nick is also a runner so he is able to demonstrate a great deal of empathy in his approach. He also requests that he is kept up to date of progress - another sign of the caring approach. Thoroughly recommend him. "

"John helped out our squad through a tough winter's training schedule riddled with a potential land-mine of injuries. Not only did he keep myself and the rest of the squad largely injury free, he also helped to educate us about our body's physical potential. John would be a first port of call for any future rowing injury I were to have. "

"I worked with John during my season rowing for the Oxford University Boat Club. I picked up a couple of injuries during the season including a rib stress fracture which had the potential to keep me out of the boat for a long period of time. John diagnosed the problem early and got me back in the boat in just over two weeks when I could have been out for months. We went on to win the Boat Race. John is a highly skilled practitioner and his knowledge and skill in treating sports injuries is seriously impressive."

Achievements:

Olympic finalist (quad scull), London 2012, Olympian (coxless pair), Beijing 2008, World Championship bronze medallist, 2007, Boat Race winner, 2009.

"I first worked with John in the week leading up to the 2014 Oxford Cambridge Boat Race. After just a few sessions, I felt huge improvements in hamstring, hip and back flexibility. John couples an unprecedented knowledge of the field with an incredibly fun and easy going personality that makes working with him something I truly enjoy and always look forward to."

"John Gibbons is the best sports medic I worked with. He treated me numerous times during my career in both the British Olympic rowing team and the Oxford University team. John's methodical, informed and effective treatment minimised the risk and effect of injuries and helped me perform consistently at a very high level. I couldn't recommend him more highly."

Achievements:

Olympic Silver medallist - Beijing 2008,

3-time World Cup Gold medallist,

2-time Boat Race winner for Oxford, including as President in 2009.

"John has a very professional friendly approach to his work. I have seen many osteopaths over the years but still keep coming back to John as I feel his approach, knowledge and patients in explaining the problem are excellent. I would highly recommend John as an osteopath as he is highly qualified in his area.”

"John was the only person (out of my GP, a physio and another doctor) who I went to see who seemed to take seriously that I wanted to carry on running and that I might want to do a bit more than just “wait and see if it gets better”.”

"Thanks to John's expert manipulation I felt an immediate relief from the almost unremitting pain I had been suffering for several days. That night I got the first good night’s sleep for quite some time. I am convinced it would have been absolute hell had I not come to John.”
